History of The Collegian

Originally called The Bethel Breeze, the very first issue of the Bethel College newspaper was published during World War I on Jan. 8, 1918 as a page in the local newspaper, The Kansan. In the fall of 1921 the name was changed to The Bethel Collegian, and it continued as part of The Kansan through the spring of 1937 until it became its own separate publication in the fall of 1937.
