On November 5, Donald Trump was elected the 47th president of the United States. Trump beat Vice President Kamala Harris to regain the presidential office, which he lost to Joe Biden in 2020.
Trump won Kansas by over 200,000 votes, receiving 57.3% of the total votes cast. In Harvey County, Trump won 59.6% to Harris’ 38.6%, gaining about 9,000 votes.
For the House of Representatives. District 1 reelected Tracy Mann (R) with 68.9%, District 2 elected Derek Schmidt ® to an open seat with 57.1%, District 3 reelected Sharice Davids (D) with 53.3%, and District 4 reelected Ron Estes (R) with 65.2%.
Kansas had near record-high voter turnout this past election. It is estimated that more than 1.3 million people voted in Kansas which is about 64% of the registered voters in Kansas. The record of voters is 1.38 million voters.
